A cooling tower is a type of evaporative cooler that reduces the temperature of water from the water-cooled condenson, heat exchanger or any machinery requiring water to be re-used. The hot water is sprayed over the fills that breaks it into small droplets. Air is simultaneously blown upward, causing a small portion of the recirculated water to evaporate. This evaporation removes heat from the water, hence the water is ready to be re-used.
